What if I have a problem connecting my printer to GreenPrint?
If you come across a problem with any of your printers, please do the following:
- Go to the website for the manufacturer of your printer and download and install the most recent driver and firmware for your printer model.
- If updating your printer driver and firmware doesn't fix the problem, please contact staplessupport@printgreener.com for assistance and be sure to mention the GreenPrint for Staples you are using.
How do I set my default target/output printer for GreenPrint?
To set a printer so that GreenPrint will print to by default, go to Start>Control Panel>Printers & faxes (or just Printers in Vista and Windows 7), right-click on the GreenPrint printer and go to Printing Preferences, then under Target Printer choose the device that you print to the most often. Hit Apply and OK.
What does the error message "An unexpected error occurred. Please contact esupport@printgreener.com" mean?
This error message is general, so to best help us solve the problem that you're seeing we need to get a bit more information from you. Please do the following:
- Open an email to staplessupport@printgreener.com
- Click on attach file in your email program
- Go to the Start menu > My Computer > C > Documents and Settings > All Users > Application Data > GreenPrint > Logs (In Vista: Computer > C > Program Data > GreenPrint > Logs)
- If you are not able to access this folder, it may be hidden by Windows. You can change this setting going to Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Hidden Files and Folders > Show hidden files and folders
- Attach all files located there that end in .elr
- In your email, let us know at what point the error occurred (during/after the preview) and what document you were printing
- After sending the email you will hear from us within 24 hours (unless it's over the weekend, then it will be first thing Monday).
Is the GreenPrint for Staples available in multiple languages?
Yes! Upon installation GreenPrint will auto-detect the language setting of your operating system and will install in the corresponding language from the following list:
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Portuguese (Portugal)
- Russian
- Spanish (Latin American)
